Here’s the deal:I’m about to share the exact AT&T email settings that’ll work across all your devices.
Just straight-up solutions that actually work.
Because let’s be honest – you’ve got better things to do than wrestle with email settings all day.

Why Use AT&T?
AT&T email isn’t just about sending messages but it’s a complete package that comes free with your AT&T internet or wireless service.
It actually makes your life easier.
Also, you’re getting some seriously useful features:
- A whopping 2GB of storage space (that’s a lot of emails!)

- Access from anywhere – phone, tablet, computer, you name it
- Simple calendar integration for managing your schedule
- Auto-sync across all your devices
Plus, you’re getting the reliability of AT&T’s network behind every message you send. No more wondering if your important emails will make it through.
And here’s something most people don’t realize: AT&T email works seamlessly with popular email apps you already use.
What are ATT POP & IMAP settings?
POP and IMAP as two different ways to get your email – like having your mail forwarded vs. checking a digital mailbox.
IMAP is what most people use today (and what I recommend). It keeps everything in sync across all your devices.
Send an email from your phone? It shows up in your laptop’s sent folder too. Pretty neat, right?
Here’s what you need:
- IMAP server: imap.mail.att.net
- Port: 993
- Security: SSL required
POP3 is the old-school option. It downloads emails to one device and typically deletes them from the server.
If you really need POP3:
- POP server: pop.mail.att.net
- Port: 995
- Security: SSL required
Quick tip: Stick with IMAP unless you have a specific reason to use POP3.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why won't my AT&T email send messages?
Usually, this happens when your SMTP server (smtp.mail.att.net) isn’t properly set up, or you’re using the wrong port number. Double-check you’re using port 465 with SSL encryption.
Do I need a special password for AT&T email setup?
If you’re getting authentication errors, you might need to create an app-specific password in your AT&T account settings. Your regular AT&T password sometimes won’t work with third-party email apps.
Why does my AT&T email work on my phone but not my computer?
This classic issue usually pops up when your settings are correct on one device but not the other. The fix? Make sure both devices are using identical SMTP settings.
Can I use AT&T email with Gmail/Outlook/Apple Mail?
Absolutely! AT&T email works with pretty much any email client – you just need the correct SMTP settings for each one.
